It takes courage to expand into new markets and competitors have to be expected to push back. Ensuring they do so within the established boundaries has been one of Shawn Conway’s specialties. His legal work in manufacturing and trade has included winning a settlement from a bank that had been improperly withholding funds and drafting a joint R&D contract that complied with competition rules in France.

A sampling of Mr. Conway’s experience in manufacturing and trade:

  • Germany: Aided a metal industry client on a long-term supply contract with an automotive company.
  • Abu Dhabi: Achieved amicable settlement and receipt of payment from a bank that had improperly withheld funds.
  • USA: Advised a European games producer on issues surrounding establishing a US distribution subsidiary.
  • USA: Forced a former distributor to stop using a European manufacturer’s trademarks and trade names.
